Thankful Thursday

I’m linking up today’s post with Yvonne at Quilting Jetgirl – I have so much to be thankful for and appreciate the opportunity to share with you.

1. First on my list – good friends. Earlier in the week I met up with a couple of ladies who I worked with for several years and haven’t seen since 2004. Β In fact, these two ladies are the ones who taught me to quilt. It was so nice to visit with them and catch up on all that’s happened since we last spoke. We have already scheduled another coffee date and I’m looking forward to seeing them again.

2. Sewing time – I told you on Monday I would have several days this week to just sew and I have taken advantage of that time. Even though I usually sew every day, this week is different because I am sewing strictly for myself with no deadlines for now. I have lots of projects I want to do, but I only have one WIP so I’m feeling pretty good. I have completed four “pages” for my FMQ catalog and I have a quilt finish to share with you tomorrow (yay!). Here’s a sneak peek:

3. Scrap happy! – Last weekend I spent some time sorting my scraps and they are now in a system that will make it so much easier for me to use. Having these scraps organized makes me feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Maybe soon I will work on a scrap quilt!

That is my list for this week. I hope you take a few minutes to find your thankful this week. πŸ™‚
