Hi Everyone! I am sooo happy to be home and back to my computer and sewing room! I successfully delivered Mom to my Aunt & Uncle and traveled home safely. Except for a little traffic, the trip was easy and I really enjoyed myself. I even managed to visit a couple of quilt shops and brought home a few lovely pieces of fabric, which makes me very happy.
Before I show you the fabric, it is time to announce the winner of Meadow Mist Design’s Sea Star quilt pattern. There were 45 entries and Mr. Random Number Generator selected #22 as the winner. Congratulations Carolyn! I have emailed you.
I really enjoyed reading your responses to my question – do you like to go barefoot outside? It was fun to hear your stories. Thanks so much!
Now, on to the fabric I brought home. These are definitely pieces I am crushing on this week – I can’t wait to cut into them.
These pieces are so outside my comfort zone; I’m not quite sure what I was thinking. But I have a project in mind for them and the more I look at them, the more they grow on me. They are metallic prints (!) from Timeless Treasures.
Next up, red, gray, and black. How can I go wrong with these sweet prints? I think they will make great zipper pouches. These are 60″ wide canvas prints and I can’t wait to work with them.
I have decided to join in on the mystery quilt along that Cheryl is doing over at Meadow Mist Designs. These are my fabric selections. The most difficult part in selecting fabric is not knowing the final design. Cheryl has offered to give us a sneak peek if we want it to help in fabric selection, but I have decided to just let go and enjoy. (You might say I have a bit of a control issue…) I’m excited to start. The cutting instructions have just been released, so I will be cutting into these soon. It’s not too late to join in if you want!
I have a few more pieces but will wait to share those – this post is getting pretty long! I think I have some pretty nice fabric to crush on and can’t wait to start playing with them this week.
So what is your Main Crush this week? I would love to see what you are working on and what has you excited to be in your sewing space. Last week I didn’t get to visit everyone who linked up because I was traveling. I will catch up on all my blog reading this week and look forward to seeing what you are doing. Thanks so much for linking up and sharing your projects. They are so inspirational!
